House Republican leaders will brief reporters Tuesday morning after their conference meeting with President Trump.
Their remarks come days before Speaker Mike Johnson’s (R-La.) self-imposed Memorial Day deadline to pass the GOP’s “big, beautiful” budget bill full of Trump’s legislative priorities.
The House Budget Committee advanced the bill early Monday, but it faces further hurdles in the next stages, as conservative spending hawks and vulnerable moderates battle over a controversial tax break in high-income districts and cuts to federal health care benefits.
The press conference is expected to begin at 10:45 a.m. EDT.
