Trump-Hating Punk Band Trolls MAGA Fan In The Audience With A Bet

Dropkick Murphys’ Ken Casey — known for having little regard for the “America First”-espousing President Donald Trump — had a bit of fun with a fan who wore a pro-Trump top to the Massachusetts-founded Celtic punk band’s concert in Clearwater, Florida, this weekend.

In a video the band shared online Monday, Casey held up one of his group’s shirts, proudly declared it was “made in America” and then wagered that the fan’s pro-Trump merchandise likely wasn’t.

If it was made in the U.S., said Casey, then he’d give the fan a Dropkick tee and $100. But if it wasn’t, the fan would have to ditch his shirt for a Dropkick one.

“You can’t lose this wager,” promised Casey.

A crew member checked the fan’s shirt tag and found it was made in Nicaragua.

“Ooooh,” shouted Casey, although it’s not clear whether the shirt was official Trump merch.

The fan honored the bet and swapped it for a Dropkick one.

“He is a good sport. He’s taking the shirt off,” Casey said.

“We’re taking crime off the street,” the musician joked. “God bless your fucking heart. That’s a good sport.”

Casey later told Newsweek the man was a “longtime” fan “who wanted to let us know they disagree with our politics, but they were respectful and after the concert the gentleman actually said, ‘Dropkicks are family and I don’t let politics come between family,’ which I was pleasantly surprised by.”

On YouTube, the band wrote of the moment: “Credit where credit is due these MAGA fellas upheld their end of the bargain after losing the bet.”
