“Late Show” host Stephen Colbert on Monday night spotted a report that President Donald Trump’s feelings were recently hurt over a relatively standard diplomatic gesture thousands of miles away.
“Trump is not just a sack of incompetence and malice,” Colbert said on Monday night. “He is also very thin-skinned.”
The audience let out a sarcastic “awww.”
Colbert stepped in to give Trump a royal reality check.
“Mr. President, if you thought Charles wouldn’t two-time you, you missed a whole season of ‘The Crown,’” he said.
