Crockett recently referred to Gov. Greg Abbott (R-TX), who is paralyzed from the waist down and in a wheelchair, as “Governor Hot Wheels.” And that is just the tip of the iceberg: In recent weeks, Crockett has repeatedly labeled Americans as “racist” for refusing to elect former Vice President Kamala Harris in 2024 and called for Tesla CEO Elon Musk to “f*** off” and be “taken out,” while herself being the subject of a police report over allegations of assault.
Left-wing media outlets may rush to defend their new anti-Trump darling, but people are increasingly fed up with race-hustling ideologues such as Crockett. The Left should jump ship now as Crockett’s conduct possibly crosses into the criminal — because accountability is coming.
Last week, the Coolidge Reagan Foundation took the first step, filing complaints with the Office of Congressional Ethics and the Federal Election Commission and a criminal referral to the Department of Justice. Crockett doesn’t just sound very bad. She appears to have broken the law — over and over again.
First and foremost, in her daily tirades, Crockett appears to have illegally intimidated Republican voters and government officials, in violation of the federal Voting Rights Act, by publicly calling for and celebrating violence against them. Despite the U.S. House of Representatives Ethics Manual stating members of Congress must refrain from “making statements that impugn the reputation of the House” or “threatening punitive action” on the basis of “partisan affiliation,” Crockett has relentlessly posted threats of violence against Republican voters and officials.
Whether it’s a declaration of “full-on combat” against Musk or her threat against President Donald Trump — “We are gonna be on your asses, and we are going to make sure. We are going to make sure you know what democracy looks like” — is it any wonder that Tesla dealerships and vehicles have been vandalized across America?
Earlier this month, Crockett circulated a video online that depicts two smiling cartoon figures, one labeled “Jasmine Crockett” and the other “AOC,” with a third figure lying prone on the ground. That figure is labeled “Republicans,” and the sick video shows the Crockett and AOC figures smiling as they ruthlessly beat and jump on the prone Republican as he cries out in pain and begs them to “stop.” The disturbing video even includes sound effects for the assaults. And yet, Crockett actively promoted the video with the obvious insinuation that physical violence against Republicans is fair game.
Even that’s not all. Crockett also allegedly violated federal campaign finance law by accepting and inaccurately reporting a series of contributions processed via the ActBlue platform throughout 2024. She reported receiving over 50 contributions from a “Mr. Randy Best” of Plano, Texas, an unemployed 73-year-old retiree who does not reside in her congressional district. Best’s wife publicly stated they hadn’t made such contributions to Crockett, nor any of the 2,533 contributions in his name through ActBlue between January 2023 and December 2024.
Rather, the evidence suggests ActBlue may have been providing many millions of dollars of contributions to Democratic candidates in the names of unsuspecting elderly people in order to allow recipients such as Crockett to shield the true source of the funds, possibly accepting illegal, and possibly foreign, funds from who knows what corrupt sources. The same Jasmine Crockett who rails against “outdated systems of oppression” apparently appreciates the system when she can exploit it for political gain, legality aside.
“Leaders” such as Crockett cannot go unchecked, disregarding common decency, violating any possible norm of congressional and civil conduct, and seemingly even breaking the law for political gain. Being anti-Trump is one thing — turning American politics into a hyperracialized war zone in which Democrats can threaten Republicans (or worse) is another one entirely. We’ve already seen where this road goes.
CRYPTO BROS, CORPORATIONS, AND FOREIGN GOVERNMENTS: A LOOK INTO WHO FUNDS JASMINE CROCKETT
Now, the ball is in the court of accountability. It is time for the Department of Justice, Federal Election Commission, and Office of Congressional Ethics — and dare we suggest, even the listless Democratic Party itself — to take a long, hard look at Crockett and hold her accountable for her transgressions.
Otherwise, the future of politics is a bleak one, and it certainly won’t be bright for Democrats in the elections to come.
