President Trump is seeking to move on from his ugly public feud with tech billionaire Elon Musk after their alliance burned up in a flurry of insults on Thursday.
Trump on Friday said he did not want to talk with Musk on the phone and focused his social media remarks on jobs and the economy.
Musk separately offered a small peace signal late Thursday, writing a post on social platform X by Pershing Square CEO Bill Ackman, an ally of both men who has sought to cool tensions on the right on various issues before.
“I support @realDonaldTrump and @elonmusk and they should make peace for the benefit of our great country,” Ackman said. “We are much stronger together than apart.”
Musk posted the reply of “true.”
